Schools Modern Slavery Resources

As part of a public health approach to tackling modern slavery in the community and targeted preventative focus work, the Modern Slavery & Organised Immigration Crime Unit (MSOICU) have designed and produced a modern slavery awareness raising package for delivering into secondary schools aged 13-17 years old.

The resource introduces the main concepts of modern slavery, including but not limited to county lines exploitation and promotes discussion through various breakout exercise and multi-media. The resource features a PowerPoint presentation, facilitator notes, handouts for break out sessions and leaflets. It was piloted to secondary school aged pupils, prior to the launch earlier this year. It received positive and constructive feedback which helped to improve this final published resource.

There is a focus on how this relates to children’s every day lives, how they can protect themselves and see support.  Please feel free to download and utilise as you see fit.  We would appreciate any feedback on the use of the resource via this forms link https://forms.office.com/e/sv0f2HJf67 or the QR code below in relation to the resource, we would also be very much keen to hear about any sessions you have subsequently delivered.
